Heads up, the DMCA penalty algorithm has been strengthened
Google’s DMCA update, also known as the Pirate update, launched in 2012 and has been in the shadows for the most part. In 2014, Google updated it and only recently did Glenn spot a comment from Google saying they’d strengthened this algorithm. They did this by catching redirect schemes and making sites hit by this suffer a 89% drop in traffic. Look out, Google’s comin’ for ya!
Local SEO - Google SERP Changes
This is new in Google Maps
Normally seen in the local listings or knowledge panel, questions and answers have come to Google Maps. For anyone not familiar with Q&A, you can ask the community a question for a quick response. Barry reminds us that this is not new to search, but definitely new to Maps. Could this be a new rollout?
